Favorites

Concept — Pin frequently used pages and reach them with one click

With Favorites you create your personal shortcuts: pages you need every day — such as a particular calculation or the customer list — then appear at the very top of the navigation and as cards on the home page.

Pinning a favorite

Every calculation tile — in the calculation overview as well as on the group pages Material, Product and Production — has a star. Clicking the empty star makes the calculation a favorite, clicking the filled star removes it again — without going through the navigation and without opening the calculation.

  1. In the navigation, click the desired entry with the right mouse button (e.g. Calculations > Product > Braiding angle).
  2. In the context menu, select Add to favorites.

This method works for all pages, not only for calculations.

The entry immediately appears in the Favorites category at the top of the navigation tree — with the same icon and name as the original. Clicking it opens the same page.

Single pages only

You can pin single pages (end points of the tree). Groups such as Master data or Calculations cannot be added to favorites as a whole.

Removing a favorite

Click the filled star on the calculation tile — or click the entry with the right mouse button (in the favorites area or at its original location) and select Remove favorite.

Where favorites appear

  • Navigation: the Favorites category at the very top — this is where your pinned entries are collected.
  • Home page: the Favorites card with one Herzog-blue tile per entry (icon, name and source area), see Home page (Home).

Good to know

  • Personal and per workspace: Favorites belong to the signed-in user and apply per workspace — each colleague maintains their own list, and it is kept across program restarts.
  • Permissions take precedence: If your role loses the permission for a favorite page, the favorite is hidden automatically. It reappears as soon as the permission is restored.
  • Desktop app only: The web app has no favorites; there you find every calculator via the search in the calculator overview.
